oh thanks i also ordered a header three days ago.
but was kinda a bad idea cuz it took all of the money i had hahah
hey man i have a 1975 pinto runabout and just wondering how much it cost to get your stereo put in. because i have be wanting to get a cd player put in mine but i don't know how or how much its gonna cost
i got my cd player from checker for about 100 dollars
the amp and speakers i got from wal mart for about 70 dollars
the subs I got from good vibrations for 150
and amp instalation kit from walmart for about 30
the sub boxs i got from walmart for about 40
and probably about twenty dollars in wire and conecters
so all together and this is just a guess about 410
but if you really look i'm sure you could find cheaper
and i have no clue how much it costs to get installed i have always just done it my self.
it is really easy there is usally a good wiring diagram that comes with the cd player.
as long as you have a test light you should be fine.
I always install my own stereos, its not that hard to do. I have a "small" system Kenwood cd deck, 6 1/2" speakers in the fronk kick panels, 6x8 speakers in the back deck and a 50 watt Rampage amp in the trunk just for the back speakers. I didn't want to cut up the original bezel so I got an extra console (not a full length one) from u-pull-it, set me back about 5 bucks, cut the top edge off, used a 87-93 mustang install kit from wal-mart (about $15) which is molded for the cd player already, and mounts with 4 screws and is about the same width as the console, then I covered the gap with a piece of wood baseboard moulding that I stained, and mounted an extra Pinto emblem in for a finishing touch
nice!
i wish we had a you pull it in montana
Keep at it great job so far!!!!
