Title: More Super Pinto pics....
Post by: 69GT on July 20, 2008, 04:13:07 PM
Ok well a donor car was found for all the odds and ends needed, like a new hood, sport mirrors, and most important... Lighter bumpers.  It appears that the later 77 Pinto has waaayy lighter bumpers and bumper supports. My friend bought white 77 trunk model for $450 (On the left) with a seized 2.3 but in otherwise perfect condition as a donor car for his white 75. The whole front fascia will be transferred over as we agreed it is more sleek looking. As for the 77 it would have been the car to build except in CA. 75 and older cars are exempt from smog inspection.

I included the fat tire shot (5 LUG)
An under the blower/ header shot
A behind the blower/blower motor shot...
And the two of them...

enjoy...

I sure wish I had a shop like that and a few Pintos in it like you do! All I would need is a bed! ;)

Good luck with the car restoration, looks like you have everything you need to get it done!

Don't forget to share the leftovers from the parts car! ;)

Yes I am really jealous too. Behind where I was taking pics  is the 35 Ford that's getting the other 2.3.  His yard boasts a 68 400 Firebird (Non operational) and 67 Camaro (also non op), and his really fast 84 SVO. He lives on a property a few miles out of town. There are more cars but those are the good ones.

Most of my project bits and pieces are there too.
Like the extra 2.0 with race goodies...(Runs good according to former owner) We are gonna do a leak down and compression test. It has pretty heavy duty springs and what looks like a beefy cam. Might sell it.
And the T-9 that seems to be a bolt on to ether a 2.3 or a 2.0 depending on witch bell housing you use. We have both.
