Mike

Appears to be clean, straight and solid. Nice car.
Hey Mike, I thought they were all "fixed" but guess not ;D
Tony, it's #6 on wheels and complete... my recent acquisition of the 80 parts (interior, doors, fenders, hatch and bumper) could be considered the half. And no I didn't even have to drive this one home, more on this later...
Turbo Toy, it's not perfect (little rust here and there, some of it has me a wee-bit concerned) but all in all not to bad ;D
And finally for Frank, the rest of the story ;)
This spring I was visiting a friend of mine in the Twin Cities I haven't seen (in person) for years getting an extra set of the slotted aluminum mags. He told me a gal down the street had a Pinto... well she was outside so I went down and introduced myself and asked to see it. She opened the garage and there it was... all shiney and blue. After talking to her for a bit and showing her my 73 that I had on the trailer I came to realize how much she really loved her little Pinto. There was some talk of her selling it so I gave her my card and email and told her when the time comes to get in touch with me. If I couldn't buy it I would help her to get in the hands of a "Pintonut" and find it a new and proper home.
Couple days ago I got the email... it was time. My friend Kevin and his wife were coming up this weekend and he has helped many times with the gathering of Pinto's I seem to be collecting so I had him stop on the way up and gave him permission to make the deal for me... this morning it was in the back yard waiting for me...
Jeanne, this is for you.... Thank You! for contacting me and giving me the opportunity to bring your little pony home. It's still a new addition to the stable so hard to say exactly what will be done and how far I will take a "restore" on this one but I promise to take care of it, keep it shiney, fix a few things and keep it on the road. Right now I'm thinking it may be my winter project, it found a good home and will be taken care of, Brian

no more for awhile please DD ;)
I wasn't looking when this one came to my attention but I just couldn't pass it up. I was considering working on my other 80 this winter as a project and making it look better but this one is a much better start to a "project."
I need to get rid of some of my other projects as it is (80 Pinto, 78 cruising wagon and 76 MII) :P
Alright, Cookieboy, the wife and I have been talking about a trip to Minneapolis again sometime (not this year, too many bills). We have friends in Minnetonka that we have kept in touch with since 1993, and last time we were there, we took a trip to Duluth. Next time, I'm coming to visit. I >gotta< see all these cool cars!!

Hey Chris, I used to live west of the cities (mound, watertown, rockford) and still have family in rockford I visit a couple times a year. Duluth is an hour+ drive from here (hibbing) depending on where in duluth you are leaving from.
"friends of the Pinto" are always welcome to visit... just let me know when ;D
