i'm buying the front coil over kit for my 78 coupe, i need to know the front end weight with a 351w in it, anyone have a clue? the springs available are 375Lb for1150 to 1350 lbs 500lb for 1375 to 1525lbs, they go higher too, but i don't think they would apply to my little pony.
Do you have a grain elevator or truck stop nearby?
Grain elevators around here don't charge to weigh vehicles. (At least none I've gone to have). Just ask if you can get axle weights and net weight for your car. You drive just the front axle on and weigh the car (you decide if you want to be in it when it's weighed, but be consistant...in or out each time); drive both axles on and weigh the car; and finally, pull the front end off and weigh just the back axle. Some elevators have electric readouts you can see while you're on the scale (and for your purposes this may be enough). You may also be able to get a printed slip with the weights on it.
