What was the name of the person who took delivery of the very first pinto sold?
Ralph something.....
Bill
A man named Fred Pinto of Pinto, MD took delivery of the first car off the line.
Bob
For some reason I thought pintony would be the one to guess that one,but bipper got it rite.
I have another one. There is a stripped 71 unibody shell and a stripped 72 body shell. There is a minor difference in a piece of sheet metal on the 71 that is different on the 72. What is it.
Bob
the bumper filler behind the front bumper on the 71 was metal.

It the answer the rear tail pan reinforcement???
They may be different but that's not what I am thinking of. Pintony, you have both year cars. Is the rear tail pan reinforcement different between 71 and 72? Pictures? That would be interesting early Pinto trivia.

Wouldn't the plastic rubber one be on a 73????
Pintony i fill like a complete idiot. i have never registered the car because its not street legal. and as it turns out its a 73. my dads car is definitely a 71. we cant find the title to dads 2nd car and its missing the hole dash so it could be a different year. it dose have the same grill as the other cars. looks like i have a lot to learn :read:
