Title: How do you drive your 4spd?
Post by: dave1987 on July 15, 2008, 04:30:21 AM
How do most of you drive your 4-speed Pinto?

I usually shift...

second at 15 mph
third at 25-28 mph
fourth at 45 mph

I don't know if this is a very fuel economical way of shifting, but it doesn't let the car shake after shifting and there isn't much recoil after letting the clutch out.

Back when I had the '80, I usually would drive it normally. But sometimes I would let it rev way up and wind it through the gears for the pure joy of it.
