Pinto Car Club of America

I am currently racing a 1978 Pinto with a 2.3L engine (also 1978). Unfortunately, we crashed into a wall and bent the frame so badly that we won't be able to straighten it. The engine is still good, but we need to put it into another car that has a healthy frame.
Here's my question...
Will the 1978 engine fit in a Pinto frame manufactured in other years? If so, which manufacturing years are compatible?
Any help would be appreciated!
