The '78 is gone. $10,000. It will be in Marietta at its new owners place in a week or so. Just thought I'd let you guys know. =]

I know it's hard letting go of a gem like that but, if it had to be, at least you had a fairly quick turnaround on it. Have you started looking for that driver yet???

No replacement yet, but I'm keeping check on eBay. ;D

eBay is where I found my Pinto. Good luck with your search!

Dont forget Craigslist! I found mine there.
~UPDATE:~
Went to see the Pinto for the last time this evening and air'd up the tires. I thought I was going to fare okay, but I was wrong. :'( I cried like a baby and made my dad feel real bad but I really didn't mean to... the economy crisis has finally hit home and there isn't much else to it. It happens to the best of us.
It will be on the way to Marietta, OH tomorrow.... I'll be at work and won't be able to say any final goodbyes, but I don't think I'd be able to handle that anyways.

Letting go is tough, regardless of circumstance, when you have yourself in something. I did a frame-off restoration on a 1957 Chevy 2 dr hdtp back in the 80's, and got it to the point of being ready for paint. We lugged it through three states, to end up in Texas.
In 1995, after looking at it sit in the garage for a long time, and feeling like it would never get done, I sold it. As the guy drove away with it on a trailer, I was actually OK (and OK for a few years after), but NOW, I wish I had never done that. It was a mistake I don't want to make again. My Pinto discourages me, but I will see it through.
Best wishes on finding another suitable car.
Chris
