Just wanted to put this in here in case some of you don't go to the main Home page or recheck Fred's special link in the forums.

Scott has put a donation button on the home page to help Joy pay for memorial costs and other expenses that may come up.

Please consider donating. Fred deserves it!! :D

Thanks
Kim

For those who are on the fence, There will be times in your life when paying Forward is the right thing to do. Because My car is pickled until I find a Full time job, My Racing fund for parts is very low. I did not  hesitate, in fact, I'm regretful that I didn't buy future parts for better times. My donation didn't cover a quarter of His Fuel costs to drive up and Visit us. I will donate more as funds become available. My political Party means less to me than what Fred stood for, and Joy was there to help him the  whole way.

Think about it , then act! ???

Fred was a very, very generous person.  I know I owe him more than just lots of money.  He no hesitation just shipping out a part to me when I needed it whether the money was there or not.  Words can't express just how good of a person he was.  A person who has qualities like Fred is a rare find.

Don't worry about trying to donate an "impressive" amount or you feel bad because you can't give what some others are giving.  Don't worry about what them, just do what you can.

Just think if every member on this site donated $5 or $10 . ........

All valid points, Fred was generous to the point that his " Business" was indeed a labor of love.  I personally turned down multiple offers by him to bring parts for my car, in his travels. Had I given him approval, he might have brought an entire shell for my next project.
As the lady said, any amount will help out, and give what is possible. Look at the Member map  or list and see how many might donate that $ 5 and you see the potential to help out.

The seeds of Compassion shall bring forth Relief and Peace..

When I needed those hard to find parts Fred was there ! He was like a magician of sorts.... You would send him a message lots a time the parts were there  at my door quicker than the money would be to him... Sometimes he would say just pass it forward and help someone with their car as I have with you...It's people like Fred that makes the world a better place....Fred again thanks it's our turn to help... RIP my friend.       -Don-

Oh Dear Lord I had no idea until I wrote to him today and his wife responded. How deeply saddened I am by this. Fred was the best resource, bar none, helped me many times through the last six years of my restoration - his memory will live on in my automobile. This is just a terrible way to end my night, I had no idea.
