Why??????????
« on: July 30, 2008, 07:54:44 AM »
I'm bummed out, just got my wagon back from the paint shop for the 3rd or 4th time, I can't remember and all set for the local car show this sat. The car looks great, all set and clean, go to the mail box and the flyer for the car now says they are only takeing cars that are pre-1970?   Gee, the wagon is only 34 years old you think it's old enuff to be there.
I'm sure they will let me in thou, seeing how I'm helping cook chicken and running the bar for 2 hours

     Wish me luck!!

a lot of the shows out hear are like that. normally pre-1972 but then they also have special interest and customs in the fine print.

There is a huge "Goodguys" show at the Texas Motor Speedway every Fall - awesome stuff, big, big outdoor square footage, lots of interesting rides - but all pre-1972. I think show organizers (like your example) are going to need to start recognizing that there are serious car enthusiasts up through the 70's models, and they are missing out.
