o.k. here's a idea that's been in my head for a decade.I dont normally give away ideas chances are i'm not  and would like to see it. drum roll pinto sho the sho v6 is the vulcan bolt patten which is the same as ran/mustang/pinto 2.8 .i have all ready  did this build in a 94 mazda 3000 with a 96 sho engine

Sounds great, but it's been done in XR4ti so it should not be too much of a hassle . You do realize that parts to get the rebuild done are pricey. And the timing belt etc. must be done when at 100,000 miles. Is the engine an interference design ? So if the timing belt goes so does the engine....

its not a turbo 4 its a ford/yamaha/mercury marine joit on a 3litre v6 normally aspirated and was only available in one model world wide and that was the taurus.they did prototype a ranger p/u in witch i duplicated but in a 94 body not the 89 body ford had used. the truck was seriously fast quiet a sleeper as a pinto it would be over the top
