I'm having a I wish that I hadn't got involved with this thing day. As the windshield is out and I'm wire brushing rust-outs away….
-
Yea, I'm looking at that too but holding off til Fall. I'm suspecting some ugliness.

Get it clean, clean, clean.
Then POR 15......
-
And make sure you do not leave any rust on the inside , if it is rusted though and many holes we use to call it body cancer, if you miss some or don't cut it all out the cancer will return, (and worst than before )
-
You might consider POR-15 and their fine mesh to bridge gaps. I don't have too much love for the product, but in a covered section, under the rubber, it makes sense.

I had the last windshield in Omaha installed last week for $250. Just cracked it minutes ago trying to install trim clips. This thing is so teetering on being dumped for a loss.
