Title: Waiting on a water pump..
Post by: Back in Blue on December 16, 2011, 01:03:58 PM
The water pump should be here in a few hours. Here's a couple shots of the 78 Runabout I just bought. She's cleaning up nice!!  Love this car. The front seats cleaned up so good. You'll never guess what i used on em.   :-X
one of the pics shows the driver's seat halfway done.........

Hard to say what you might have used on the seats but I've had excellent results using Scrubbing Bubbles spray bathroom cleaner!  Got that tip from an upholsterer and it is truly amazing!  The car looks great!

I used Gumout Carb cleaner to get them degreased. Slowly, bits at a time. Then I sealed them with a brand name leather conditioner. It worked great but dont get that stuff near your paint!  :o

Scrubbing bubbles works real good on tires also.

Never thought of that, but it makes sense!  Thanks for the tip!
