Wagon side/rear window removal
« on: September 19, 2011, 09:40:54 AM »
Has anyone successfully removed their rear wagon quarter windows successfully without completely destroying the seals? Are there any recommendation s for replacement material (seals) from any source that is close to the originals should they tear? Thanks.

i have never pulled the rear side window but did the pop out one  it was easy because  the window was not in the seal and i did  pull one from the hatch  by taking the molding out first . on  a trunk mode  it was the same  take the molding out first
as far as i know there is NO replacement  for the seal. once you get it out  there is a rubber reguvinator  product  out there i work at a print shop and we  use the regunivator frequently i have tried it at home  and it does soften up the rubber. but it eats paint as well.

Phil, I would very much like to know what the rejuvinator is so that I can find some, if you have the name handy. Thanks.

i took mine out to replace them with side panels from a crusing wagon. The front one is fairly easy because it just has 3 skrews on the one side but the other has some odd clips that i broke because i didnt need them or care for that matter. the back one is almost as easy. just took working the gasket out with skrewdrivers and pushing out on the window until you get it started then it comes right out
