Title: vin tracking website
Post by: JoeBob on September 07, 2021, 03:09:05 PM
I was told about this website. vinwiki.com I registered and the site seems to have a lot of potential. I can not get it to work. If it works I am sure you all will enjoy it. Let me know if you can get it to work.

Hi, I am back! I have been so busy that I haven’t been on for several weeks!

I am not sure what you are hoping to get from your vin search? In all honesty, I felt Marti reports gives you more than a vin search. It will pull up your build sheet, price sticker, listing how your Ford (any Ford cars) came from the factory, built numbers etc.

The vin search would result little info, and due to the age of Pintos/Bobcats, it would not give you anything like CarFax. The older cars vin nbr before a certain year…mid 1980s or early 1990s are not available.

If you explain what you are seeking, I can try to point you the right direction to search for info.

Happy Motoring!

Marti will tell you how many were built, but not necessarily state by state. It will break down to the options, color, trim, and other details. For example, 54 out of 10,000 had the interior decor group, 135 out of that number in the color, 10 with A/C, etc. I am not sure if VIN online sites would break it down state by state, as CarFax does not. I think to get that specific kinfd of information, you would need to contact DMV and ask for the best person to contact, such as an historian or research department. Marti also has their own research department that would do reasonable research for a fee. If you lean something more, please let us know as we all have particular questions about our own Ponies! :-)

Happy Motoring!
