Very, very nice 71 Pinto for sale
« on: October 16, 2011, 09:17:52 PM »
I was going to buy it outright & although I do want it, changed my mind.
Buying it would delay getting my white one done.
Better be quick, ends soon.
BTW : I know the reserve is $11,500. It's worth more than that !

I just didn't have anything to add. I saved a bunch of pics the 1st time it popped up. I think this was the 3rd run on Ebay. I like it a lot but 10 grand will buy a lot of car in this economy. As much as I'd love to see that in my garage, I'd pass on it because I'd still want to tub it & do a custom interior rather than enjoy it as it sits.

Didn't know it had been on e bay before....
Like you, 10k was a bit too steep for me. By the time I got it home (Canada) the cost would have jumped a lot. So I passed.
Besides, I'll have the 302w & T-5 sitting in the corner of my shop. I also have 2 nine inch diffs lined up.
So, may build another after my white one is done ?

Trust me, that was the 3rd Ebay run for it. It usually gets around $8500ish every time it runs. Nothing Pinto finds it's way on Ebay that I don't see LOL.

It's one of the 3 or 4 nicest Pinto's I've seen pop up in the last 3 years.

I want that paint on my 78!

Wish I had the money, so wish I did...

I noticed that they said it has a Ford motor mount kit, I didn't know Ford offered anything for a V8 swap!

Yup pretty rude. but wouldn't expect any less from a used car salesman..was a broker selling it not the builder owner.. course he may have not sold it for decent money after trying it 3 times on ebay and was frustrated andjsut sadi he made a decent sale..... life isnt all fun.. roy

Says they used the Hooker kit.
But I'll go read it again & see if I missed something ?

Got one more e-mail from "Hadi" & it was even more rude. Oh well....I guess they do not look towards the future ?

Gotcha, looks like I read it wrong. The laptop was formatting the description weird when I first looked at it.

I bet he didn't get 10K out of it. That's a response from a guy who thought he had a moneymaker on his hands & broke even at best. I'm thinking he paid waaaay too much for it because he thought he could turn it in a day & pocket 5 grand but had no idea a Pinto isn't a Mustang & won't bring drug money.

You likely hit the nail on the head there Pinto5.0 !

Someone should e-mail them (I doubt he would do this for me !) and ask him to forward this site to the new owner. Would be cool to see this car at Pinto meets etc !

Oh yeah, I've played this game for 30 years & he was way too eager to claim a windfall profit. He also didn't put a number on it incase he got caught in a lie by someone who may know the truth.

Hey Reeves,

Your white Pinto has a great look to it.    I like it better than the red Pinto.
You say you need to finish it.  What are doing to it?   Got more pics?
Where did you get that front spoiler?

Hey Reeves,
Where did you get that front spoiler?

It's like the lower valance on Cobra II's. I have been trying to find one myself since it would cover the bottom of the radiator.

So, did anyone send the dealer an e-mail asking him to send a link to this site for the new owner of the Pinto ?
Would be cool if he came here & told us more about the car (like how much he paid  ;D )
