Title: Station "Wagon - Master"
Post by: Wittsend on September 02, 2013, 07:25:38 PM
I was looking through the production number for our Pinto's.  For five of the ten years the Pinto was manufactured the Station Wagon production exceeded either the Sedan, or the Runabout (but not combined).  I wonder if any other car holds that superior "wagon" distinction?

I'm also wondering if the Pinto/Bobcat (and Vega) were the only post war American cars that were ONLY offered as two door wagons. I know there are other two door wagon's out there (the Chevy Nomad the most noted), but there were also four door versions.

BTW, in my search to confirm there were no 4 door Vega's I found this interesting site that mused "what if" to a 4 door Pinto or Vega.

Scroll all the way down for some interesting pictures.

that square eye wagon looks a lot like the eagle 4 wheel drive wagons.
