These are getting really impossible to find and I thought this was about the best deal I have seen in a very long time!

YES!  Capri I's are right up there on my list too.  Like all the good cars they seem to disappear all too quickly after seemingly being around forever.  You can't even hardly find a Merkur anymore, - much less a Capri.  Do an Ebay search and you either get the 90's Capri based on the Mazda platform or the 50's era Lincoln.

I saw that ad.  This: "I did a bunch of work cutting off the rusty bits and putting in new metal" (and some of the following description) completely destroys any interest I might have.

Bad metalwork is much worse than needing metalwork and this ad shrieks incompetence.

Of course, your mileage may vary.

Actually, there were two '73s (small bumpers) in St. Helens a couple months ago there were much more tempting to me.  Perfect fodder for a 2.3T/T-5 swap.

Mike

I had a '73 in the early '80's. It was a really good car! Too bad I wrecked it in Oklahoma in '81.
