Hello out there i will be selling a 1 of a kind pinto collection its the very first pinto car which is not a ford but rather a homemade car that was patented a pinto then when ford started making pinto the owner of the pinto name for a car was already pat, so sued ford and was paid with a brand new 1974 pinto and a large sum of money i have both cars all the documentation court records titles ect all the proof the 1974 car was the first hour of production so my question is what do you out there think this historic pinto cars and history worth thanks they will be for sale

I think you missed your audience by a few months.  We have been celebrating the 40th all across the country, you should have brought these out and you might have had a buyer and some free publicity if this story is true.  Otherwise, put them on E-bay and pray for a buyer, Pintos don't sell for too much and with the economy the way it is, no one is exactly lining up to buy them. If the cars are showroom new, you may make some cash, if they are driven, don't count on too much.

That's an interesting story and, assuming the documentation you have is legitimate and can be authenticated, it should have some effect on the value.  Unfortunately, as Norm pointed out, the market is a bit soft on these cars at the moment.  eBay is probably your best bet with LOTS of pictures of both cars and of the documentation.  Good luck!

I'm interested in more info about this story. A google search didn't bring up any hits and I have never seen/heard of this but hard to do a search for info on lawsuits for ford + pinto because of the gas tank issue. sending you an email for more info....
