Re-Pintoed! My Dream Come True...
« on: September 03, 2011, 05:10:59 PM »
 ;D
Finally found my Squire and picked her up today.  59K miles, and she looks almost new.  Drove her in 90 degree heat up a 7000 foot mountain.  She was SLOW (80hp and automatic, get it?).  But she didn't complain a bit!  Here she is.   Better pictures coming, once her emblems are back on.

So you pulled the eBay trigger!
Congratulation s on the wagon.

I see you have a small "vehicle" on Catalina.
Do you have a place there?
If so, how do you commute?

The wagon would be great for packing up for Catalina.
I know my 73 Pinto sedan has such a small trunk opening and I couldn't get much luggage in the trunk.

I lived in Torrance in the 80's.  I sure enjoyed going to Catalina.
Loved fishing and boating in the clear water around Catalina.

Hi Starliner,

Thanks!   And yes...we don't live on Catalina Island, but have a rental place there.   Depending on the time of year, we offer discounts to Pinto Club Members.  Here's a link:

Unfortunately, no Pintos allowed.  Cars are being phased out on the island in favor of golf carts that are actually pretty comfy.  Golf carts are free with the rental.

Enough about Catalina.  Here goes my second day with my new Pinto!

Congratulation s! Now go drive that baby. Maybe we will see you on a Stampede one of these years. Nothing beats driving in a convoy of Pinto's. That timeshare looks interesting, I might need some more info on that.

Thanks, Norman!   Headed up to the Green Valley Lake Car Show this weekend, where the car will be shown.   Hope to see some other Pinto Club members up there Saturday!
