Pinto Times #4
« on: January 12, 2012, 04:17:59 PM »
I'm doing the proofs for issue #4 tonight and will get them back to the printer by the end of the weekend. It's almost done. I hoped to get it all done tonight, but the weather has gone to crap and I promised my wife I would take her to dinner tonight. Then I got the e-mail with the proofs. Dang! My wife saved this ladies life in the alley behind our store on Christmas Eve, and the local press made a pretty big deal out of it. I had to wait for her ego to deflate enough between then and now for her to fit into my truck.... ;) So tonight we're going out to dinner...But issue 4 will be on the way soon. It looks good.

Not everyone can say they saved someone's life...that's something to be proud of.

She just wanted Applebee's. So that's what we did. She had commented earlier in the week before everything happened that there was never anything positive or uplifting in the paper. Then she found this woman in the alley and it all changed. I told her last night she needed to say that no one local ever won the lottery and had it in the paper, either. :)  People have been getting in touch with us from all over the place, old friends and the like. I'm very proud of her.

Give your wife my admiration for efforts and regrets for the press coverage that she probably didn't want; but certainly deserved.

Soory, for the lack of subscribers,  I'll buy one extra of each, if you have them.
