Yesterday I was riding with my Dad and his wife from San Jacinto, CA to San Bernardino to pick up my Aunt for a visit. As we approached the street where Aunt Norma Jean lives I looked down the street next to hers and saw a car front end that looked suspiciously like a Pinto. I squealed like only I can and exclaimed, "There's a Pinto!!!" Then I asked Dad to please go up the street when we got my Aunt and sure enough... IT WAS A PINTO!!! It's a '74 orange wagon with the orange color-keyed hubcaps. I swear I saw this car for sale on craigslist. The sad thing is, it looks abandoned. It's parked on the street in front of a house and it's got gobs of cobwebs all over the bumper and front wheels. The hood looks popped, too. Someone needs to save it!
THEN when we were going towards a bar Dad likes to visit called the Greenbriar we passed a house... and what do you think I saw!?! ANOTHER PINTO WAGON!!! Two Pinto wagons in a 2 mile range!!! This one looked like it might've been a '75-'78- I couldn't see the grille, but the front end looked like round headlight car and the tailgate had the F O R D as well as the Pinto script. This car looked clean and shiny. It was light blue. Who knew San Bernardino- my least favorite place in the world- had two Pintos still living there!? lol
