Pinto Fever new addition
« on: May 14, 2012, 12:41:20 AM »
Just added a second Pinto a 78.  Lil Red .  She's a little beat up and could hardly get up a hill when I got her, but I got it running pretty good now with some light tuning and plugs.  :P

Doesn't look too badly beaten up to me.  Nice score!

Thank you guys for convincing me it's OK to get a 3rd Pinto. !!! I got this one up in Bel Air, CA from the orginal owner! He had every bit of paperwork on the car since he bought it and it was garage kept with a soft cover on it. It has a sunroof and the interior is nice. It's a 73 Runabout with a sunroof and is a blast to drive around in. Of course, I've named her the Princess of Bel Air. hahhaha :P :P

Thanks !!  That one I saw on Craigslist, and was captivated with it.  I just got the carb rebuilt, brakes redone, axle bearings and differential seals all replaced ( they were leaking) as well as the transmission rear seal.  Things kept unraveling as usual, but that's how old cars are.  It's cruisin great now!!  8)

I've definitely found a favorite Pinto, this Chamois 78 Hatchback with factory v-6 and automatic. It has factory tach and gauges, ralley steering wheel, and is VERY clean in and out. It runs and drives really well. Couple of little things to fix and tinker on of course, but I'm pretty happy with the car, it has 79, 000 miles and spent most of it's life out near Palmdale California.  ;D
