Pinto at car meet
« on: March 22, 2014, 08:40:31 PM »
For a number of years now a friend has been trying to get me to the UA Theater, Saturday car meet in La Canada, CA. Today I surprised him! First off it was the longest journey with the Pinto.  While only 50 miles (one way), generally my cars stay local.  Thankfully the trip was made without incident.  When I arrived I assumed I'd be ushered to the "general parking" area, or at best put in the "projects" section.  But, when I pulled in I was told to park, "anywhere."

Our bunch had a rather eclectic grouping of rides.   My Turbo Pinto, a 50 Chevy, Cobra/Factory Five kit car and a '66 Nova.  What surprised me was the number of people that took a liking to the Pinto.  Many were glad just to see one and when they found out it was a turbo/5-speed they were very receptive.   Here is a Pic of the four of us.  I'll also post a link to my friends Flickr page. https://www.flickr.com/photos/24341871@N03/sets/72157642758768413/  Hopefully you can access it.  Scroll through as there are more Pinto Pics.
