Pinto 1600 muffler, what do you think?
« on: November 19, 2011, 09:34:28 AM »
I drive my Pinto 1600 over 100 miles a day.     About 75% of my drive is at 66 miles per hour turning 3300 RPMs.  That seems to be the engine's sweet spot.

So I need a good flowing exhaust for power and gas mileage.  I presently have a generic turbo muffler.  It does the job, however it sounds terrible.
I was thinking of changing to the FlowMaster DBX series.    If you go to this link you can "click here to play video" to hear the muffler.

I like the sound.  However,I know that the car in the video is under power and what it would sound like at a steady speed could be another animal.  Anyone ever had experience with this muffler?    Remember I don't even have half a V8   ;D
