Title: Photoshop ?
Post by: flash041 on October 29, 2012, 07:40:17 AM
Is this a Photoshop project, or does the car exist?

I think it's prototype vs. photoshop

looks like a protype to me, what a big difference that other door makes on the look of a wagon. man what could have been!!

I'd guess prototype as well. Small details like the pony on the drivers door look correctly placed but there are no lock knobs front or rear. Also the back doors lack window cranks & the rear glass is fixed. Unless you had working AC you would broil in the summer in that car.

That car would need a complete rework to make it sales worthy. It appears to have manufacturer plates as well.

Prototype.
That is the Ford test track in Dearborn, Michigan.

That's so cool.  I wish my wagon could have been a 4-door...hmm...I bet someone out there could do that for A LOT of money tho!

Makes you wonder if this car still exists in the garage of a former Ford employee , or hidden in a basement at the Ford complex in Dearborn.

I don't know, but I'll bet if anybody could find out, it would be Matthew Gunter.  Wouldn't that be a neat find?

Am I the only one that doesn't like the look of a four door Pinto wagon? :-\

If you look at the last pic. You can see the passenger side has just one door.

Actually, I rather like the look of it but ease of entry/egress would probably be a real issue... not much room back there!

It looks great. One wonders why Ford didn't do this. I think they thought that the escort was going to come sooner than it actually did.

flash041 good eye,I didn't catch that. It's must be a concept to test the viability of such design.More than likely it was tough to enter and exit both front and rear, the doors are really short. It does look cool though.
