Last evening I was relaxing in my chair when the phone rang. The caller ID said "Ford Motor Company" and the number was a 313 area code. The gentleman introduced himself and asked if I still worked with Pintos. He had received my name from a lady in the archives I worked with the last time I visited Dearborn, and was looking for some specific cars for an invitation only Ford show. On July 20 Ford is holding a show in Dearborn featuring wagons. It is for retirees, vendors, etc. and is a pretty big deal, with over 400 cars in attendance, plus other simultaneous shows including swap meets, restoration seminars and the like. My car will be one of two Pinto Cruising Wagons, but they would like more wagons as that is the theme of the show. They don't have a Bobcat wagon either. I know some folks here have them and would love to get one to the show to help our presence. Anyone feel like making a trip to Dearborn? Please contact me here directly as soon as possible. I won't post the phone number online as it is the personal cell number of the man from Ford. My car is far from perfect, but he said that doesn't matter, so if you're concerned your car isn't up to snuff, don't worry about it.

Eric,
There is the answer to your question, one day only. But there is some other stuff going on as well, I just haven't gone through all of the stuff yet.
Flash,
Thanks for the input, where are you coming from? I'll be coming up from Dayton, Ohio.

Flyer,
I am a Squire wagon going to the Dearborn show from Cleveland Heights, Oh.
I am coming the day before (Thurs.) and staying overnight at the Hyatt one mile from Ford Headquarters.
Should be a great show. (Hoping for no rain and so far the 10day forecast going out to Fri. July 20th shows no rain)
