No headlights??
« on: June 30, 2012, 09:48:38 AM »
???  On the way to work friday mourning the headlights just went off. So I pulled into a parking lot to see what I could find and they came back on So I went on to work. This mourning, The wife drives it to work and they go out again. Were do I start? Electrical problems are my worst nightmare. I am thinking ground or fuse. The schematics I have for an 80 zoop. I will check the rest of the lights when she gets home from work.

corroded or dying foot switch is a likely culprit.
Modest beginnings start with the single blow of a horn man..    Now when you get through with this thing every dickhead in the world is gonna wanna own it.   Do you know anything at all about the internal combustion engine?

It is probably the headlight switch.  There is a circuit breaker of some sort built into them.  As they get older, they start kicking in the breaker as they get hot.  I have had this problem a couple times now.  You got any spares you can try?
