Took some doing but I acquired a set of new,not sold in the US, 205 16 13 BF Goodrich Radial T/A 's RWL for my Cruising Wagon!
-
Looks good Dave!!!!!
-
From Mexico or England ?
-
Mexico. I was thinking of getting several sets next time I order, if anyone wants them .
-
Do they have the DOT designation on them. Personally, I wouldn't care but am curious.
My Sunbeam Tiger has 215-60-13" BFG T/A Radials on it. While the car seems to have a life sentence on jackstands I am amazed that the 30 year old tires have virtually no cracking. I've seen modern tires that are 18 months old and showing cracks. I wonder if the compound is still the same???
-
Yes they have DOT number on them and are legal to use in the US. They are made in the plant in Mexico that makes the 14,15, and 16 sizes sold here. BF Goodrich just chooses not to make the 13 inch sizes available to the US or Canadian market.
-
They are also available in the size 175 70 13 .

flash041, Those are really nice! How did you get them, and how much was a set? I THINK the stock rims on my 1975 are 5.5" in width. Would the 205/60-13 BFGs work on a 5.5" stock rim? Thanks
-
I'd be interested in a future order.
-
I put them on my stock factory slots and are fine. It was quite the process to order them. Had to order them from a distributor, have them shipped to an importer, then ship to me.The distributor I got them from would not accept US Pay Pal or US credit card.Had to do a direct wire transfer from my bank.It was a bit scary sending money to someone you don't know. The shipping and tariffs were more that the cost of the tires. Less that $150 each, tires +shipping+tariffs .Cost would vary by cost of the tires at the time and shipping costs.
-
Thanks flash041, I appreciate the information.

Bought a new set of Federal 205/60/13's off E-gay for $240 shipped. Their on E-gay from time to time.
-
Set of 205/60/13 (four) on the Tulsa, Ok crageslist today for $350. Brand new tires or so they say. Look on SVO Ford / then mustang parts with a picture of a 4 cylinder T5. Pro Meter brand.
-
I had a set of the Federals. They were a good tire. A friend has a set of the Pro Meters. Those are
both black walls. I really wanted raised white letter tires and was willing to pay more for them. I feel for the classic look it WAS WORTH IT!

There's nothing more classic than BFG RWL as well. I settled on pro meter. : (

I ran into several road blocks getting them. I almost gave up , but kept at it. Took about two months to get.

BTW the dwarf race cars have a spec tire made for them. Size? 205/60/13 made by BFG (I think). My not be dot tires.
