My Cruising Wagon is headed to Mecum!

It has been a great ride, but Mecum decided to do an auction right here in Chattanooga to go along with the second Chattanooga Motorcar Festival, so I thought I'd see if they were interested in having my little car-and they said yes!
The process has been pretty easy, submitting pictures and description, and mailing off the documentation (they wanted its original CA blue plates mailed in for some reason). You also get a bidder's pass and a guest pass with the deal. I'm not sure it is going to be on TV, but it still feels pretty exciting to know the car and I are going to be there! They've sold a few Pintos before, but it is cool to see that it is getting respect as a collectible car at that level.

 Wow!  That must feel great that your car is Mecum  worthy.  I can see why, though it is not only a pretty rare model nut from what I can see it is a beautiful car. Hope they show it on TV.  Congratulation s.  Hope it brings a ton of cash. If it were mine I don't know if I could give it up.

Original blue California plates would add to value to a California buyer as the plates remains with the car for life in California and can be registered.

I will be on the lookout for your Pinto, although I would not be bidding as I brought mine last year.
