My 77 Ford Pinto
« on: February 08, 2017, 08:23:30 PM »
I just bought this 77 Pinto, 4speed manual with a 2.3 kind of on a whim and also for nostalgia purposes. I'm a simple guy who wanted a classic car without the outrageous price tag of a muscle car. I'm still debating on keeping it all original or turn it into a sleeper. With that said I'm looking for some good resources for parts. She runs and drives, but needs some little things here and there.

Right off the bat I'm looking for weather stripping for the doors. In addition to a passenger side floor board and the bottom of the battery box/cavity. Although I may use sheet metal to fix the floor board and battery box if i can't find them.

You can check e-bay for the door seal , about a 100 bucks a set , if it's the very front of the floor pan you can use the mustang II patch panel , had to do my driver side and word well,  but pull back the carpet and check and see if the windshield gasket might be leaking , common problem when the seal dries out and cracks , good news is you can still get them ,

Thank you! I was curious as to what parts are interchangeabl e with the pinto. I was thinking the Mustang II, but I didn't want to spend money until I knew for sure.

Looks Good , the body looks streight , its worth putting some TLC into the car , best thing is to get a carport for it or keep it inside .
