mustang 2 v8 bellhousing 4 speed question
« on: March 03, 2007, 11:11:07 PM »
i have a 5.0  and a mustang 2 bellhousing and clutch.will a 75 pinto wagon  2300 4 speed .trans work in place of the v8 4 speed.?  i need info asap as i know of a rebuilt  4 speed at the moment.my 75 mach 1 trans is bad. the v8 is a carburated roller motor. i used a carb instead of the h.o. injection.prob ably 200 hp.im not a drag racer.i like hauling butt around corners.,so i dont really bang gears at high rpms..    thanks.reply in person if you like..  lyndensv8@yahoo.com   or  503-317-8567   any time

I would have to say no.

I don't have much (if any) knowledge of all ford trannies, but I do know that the 2.3 and the 5.0 T-5's are different, even though the bells will interchange. The other trnnies might have the same issues.
