Wish I knew. Not to hijack your thread, but in nearly four years on this site, I have seen alot of great folks come and go. Two that come to mind are "78disco" (I think that's right) and Carolina boy. There's two guys that are missed. A shame that it happens. Nice if you to ask, most leave and not a word is said!

I fear Discolives78 (Chuck)  may no longer be with us. I emailed him right before the '11 Stampede, as I was coming through Albuquerque and thought I might drop by and say hi but got no response. He has had health issues and didn't always have access to a computer. I hope I'm wrong and he's ok.  Carolina Boy (Robert Sharpe) as far as I know is alive and well, but no longer has a Pinto.  I miss 'em both.  :'(

If i had more information on Disco i might be able to track down what happened to him
So if you happen to have a real name to run with i can search him up.

Didn't he move to somewhere near the border of Mexico and had limited access to a computer? If I remember correctly he last had to go to his brother's house to get online.

I too was wondering what happened to him, we used to get along really well here!

I heard from Chuck (discolives78) today.... and encouraged him to let us all know how he's doing and that he is missed.

*** from the email I received....
Glad to hear from you Brian! I am doing ok these days. I had to sell my Pinto early last year. It started smoking (oil smoke) and someone reported me to the Environment Dept. who made me go thru an emissions test and gave me a deadline to fix it that I couldn't meet. I have a (deep breath) VW bug now. It's just not the same, but it gets me around. The Bug has an AutoStick trans, so you have to shift but there's no clutch pedal.

Glad it hear he's still around and doing well! He should drop by now and then, we all miss him here! That is, if it isn't to hard to see the other Pintos here and not have one of his own. We'll still accept him, even if he drives a bug! :) I know for sure that Kimmy will! lol

Carolina boy had health issues, he was going to lead the '11 stampede up I-81 but couldn't make it. For some reason I fear he may not be with us anymore, I had health issues as well and also dropped out of sight for a while, I still have memory loss issues so don't hold me to anything about CB. Miss him though, great guy! Glad Disco 78 is ok.

CB is still out there & kicking. He no longer has his Pinto but is still out there on facebook. I would like to say that if I ever got rid of my car & couldn't get another one that I would keep on being active on here but I dunno that I would. I can see both sides of it. I would want to keep being active on here, as there are many friendships that I have made but on the other hand it would zoop, knowing I no longer had one of these fine cars.
