It is the exact color, interior, trim, and hubcaps.  I got it off eBay.   It will probably take a couple weeks to complete payment and get it picked up by carrier to make it's way home.

So in a couple months I will be selling her 79 Pinto after I put a rear seal in the engine and reseal the gas tank.  I already started taking it apart before winter.

I will also list my 73 Pinto driver for sale very soon here on the site.  I am finishing up the 87 Audi that will replace it.  I need a nice 4-door car for work to take customers out.  They turned in the sales car we all used for that purpose.

I will fix the radiator this weekend.   I just put a new electronic ignition module and tune-up last week.  All the maintenance is up to date, everything works.   It should be ready to drive anywhere in the USA .     $1250

Yep, 2.3 with stick shift.   The same as her first car.
Even the interior is the same.   It looks perfect with 40,000 original miles.

nice score, finding the "exact match" when you are looking for just the right car is tough, I know... been looking for a certain Ford Elite for some time now.

Love! that volvo ~> http://www.flickr.com/photos/29396384@N05/4779602296/

I have been looking for 5 years.
My wife does enjoy her 79 Pinto.  She even joined a car club on her own.
She likes that everywhere she goes people smile and have their own Pinto story.
I told her that the Mustang II will not have that same effect, just something about Pinto's.

Thanks on my Volvo 1800ES.  I will get it road worthy in 2013.   It needs many things from sitting so many years.
Brake calipers are dragging, old gas, leaky gaskets, blah, blah, blah.

I will focus on getting the 73 Pinto up for sale shortly, the 87 Audi to daily drive, the wife's new Mustang to make her happy, and put the 79 Pinto back togther for sale.

I'm SO jealous! I want a Mustang II too!  ;D   I like the ones with vinyl-tops and opera windows best, though.  ;)   Mustang IIs are rarer than Pintos here in SoCal. They used to be EVERYWHERE like Pintos back in the day.

As for the '73... is that the one in the profile pic with the 1.6?  If a) money weren't an issue, b) I had more room, and c) I wasn't mooning over a '72 Runabout not very far from me that I've already named, I would jump on yours! I love that off-white color.  :)

Yep, same car as in the avatar picture.   However that picture is probably 6 years old and I must admit it is not as nice anymore.
The link shows a more recent picture.
But it does makes a dependable "ready to go" driver that gets good mileage while you fix up the body.
