It just crossed my mind, I feel I would be doing my Pinto brothers and sisters an injustice if I did not bring it to your attention that I have Jade back up on Ebay. If you don't know me or know who Jade is, just place Jade in the search box and get her history here on the site.
She only bid up tp 6K last time on Ebay. I checked into taking her to a Mecum auction, weighed the costs, subtravted those costs from what I really want for her and have set my reserve at that point.
And there are those of you who wouldn't give 3K for her, but that's OK. I have spoken with several serious collectors in the past few months and feel I am spot on.
Bottom line, I do understand this car is only worth what someone will give for it. I made an emotional purchase on her 5 years ago, knowing I paid more than she was 'worth', but have never regretted that purchase. I have had my fun with her, and I am fine to let her go to a new home. I need to build a shop so I can 'get my Pinto on' as I stated in another post. It is time in my life to get what I have on the road, roadworthy and enjoy driving them.
All said, if you know of any boomers who are rolling in cash and want to buy a new Pinto, send them to my auction.

Thanks Mike. This looks like a better auction than last fall when I did this. I have 6 bids from 6 different people, just don't know how far they are interested in taking it. I stated as much as I know about what I truly believe the value is, based on what I have been told by collectors of similar vehicles. There has to be another person out there like I was 5 years ago, LOL. Last fall, I did 10 day auctions and it only ever made it up to 6K. Gotta be some boomers out there wanting their first Pinto since high school, with the finances to boot!
