Body (metal) is in great shape for it's age.
All rubber parts are hooped.

Car came up from CA in 2000 (into Canada). I have no idea which Province. Alberta ?
No idea how many owners in the years here.
It had the Mustang ll V8 conversion, from rad to diff done.
Auto.
Hatch (this will change - my blue parts car will be cut to make this one a trunk model)
Runs bad. Likely gas & maybe bad plug wires...was "supposed" to run well last fall ?
No big deal : going to pull/junk the complete drive line, rad to diff.
Trans leak.
Rear brakes do not seem to work, or are set light (only test was loading it).

I already have fiberglass fenders, bumper, air dam & will find a glass hood.
Going to do a ground up resto with many mods.
This is the one I want to do light.
Going to strip it......yet still have stuff like heat & more.
All aluminum 351w bore/stroke to 428 ? Like the 428 number  ;D

Long drive.......st ill not home. Drove 16 hours today.
Lost 5+ hours yesterday due to a trailer tire blow out (U-Haul rental - was cheaper than hauling my own down there).
So far over 5000 KM driven (1/2 free fuel).
Left Wed . Will be home tomorrow if no problems (Monday).

Some Pinto people will do "funny" things......  ;D

Made it home last Monday.
Tuesday I made a hole in the shop for it.
Plan was to go over it to ensure it would pass the out of Province inspection.
Ya, right.....  ::)

It's hot out. Cool in the shop & fridge is (was) full.....
So I'm looking around the shop at all the 302w engine & T-5 parts.
Started pulling the engine apart.
Pulleys were bent. Turns out I have a short water pump, aluminum pulleys & aluminum alt brackets.
Between the blue parts car & other spare parts I can change out the auto to the T-5.
I have an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake & 600 cfm Edelbrock carb.

Going to pull the heads for a look see. #5 cly spark plug was completely gummed up. Likely get a quick valve job done.
Since I'm that far into it, may as well up-grade the cam.
I also have a spare MSD dizzy etc.

I also have front engine mounts & a set of Headman headers. May as well put them on. Guy that had it before has (had) cast manifolds & single exhaust.

Need to re-mount the engine anyway. Front is off set to the right 2 & 5/8" to the right. Exhaust manifold is touching the battery tray.
The M ll frame mounts are held on by one bolt each  :o

Not fussy on a hatch ...... so was looking at my blue parts car .... anyone know if the back can be cut out & replace the hatch version ? I will be finding out.....
