WINNER AT VOLO!!!
« on: July 07, 2012, 07:17:22 PM »
Today me and my wife attended the Annual George Barris Charity Car Show at the Volo IL Auto Museum and won an award. There was probably 200 cars there and it's people's choice for the Top 30 and I won one of them!!!. It really cool to have people that own lead sled Mercurys and all kinds of other stuff appreciate the Pinto enough to vote for it. Even people like Voodoo Larry and the rest of the Voodoo Kings liked the car. Oh yeah, Flat Pinto got to go on another adventure LOL!!!

I have come to realize that I am powerless to cuteness of a rusty old Pinto.

Thanks everyone. Again, before I got my Pinto I started collecting Barris stuff and in years past have set up a display at this show with about 400 different items of his (most if not all of it signed. This was my first win at Volo and it was special. Mr. Barris is 87 years old and who knows how many more years he can continue to keep doing this. Plus to get him to pose with "Flat Pinto" was fun. Voodoo Larry was laughing and thought it was cool.
I am thinking that might be time for "Flat" to visit the sights of Milwaukee  ;D
