Is Pony Carburetors out of business?
« on: December 18, 2011, 11:02:37 PM »
I tried calling all the numbers, none work, no answer to emails.  But they still have a website and have things listed on Ebay.  I will not buy anything though because they are not responding and cannot be reached.  Does anyone know if they are still in business or did they not pay a phone bill before going on vacation?
Otherwise, does anyone know where to buy a newly refurbished Autolite 2100 or Motorcraft 2150?  I want a good one, not a low quality rebuild.

Hard to imagine Pony Carbs going out of business. The only other place I know of is Gotta Fish Carburetors that specialize in the 2100 & 4100 series. I can't comment on their product one way or the other, since I have only bought some small replacement parts from them & not a complete carb. They have a web site & are on ePay.

I did read in a Mustang forum that the owner just recently passed but the business will continue. They are most likely trying to sort things out right now. Will they stay in business???????

I see many NOS carbs on eBay.   You could go that route.    I bought one for my 1600 about 5 years ago for $125 and it is still working great.
You probably want to rejet any stock carb a hair more rich due to todays gas being different than back in the day.
At least that is my experience.
