I ALMOST had one!!! I found one an hour away that was in my budget. Been making arrangements to go get it. Getting ready to take pictures to post for you guys, found a set of wheels for it and was figuring on when we could make the trip to get them. I was even making plans to go to the Ohio get together in August.
Then my wife and I were out and broke down. Between towing and parts I don't have enough left to buy the pinto. I'm about 500 short now :[
I'm not giving up yet, I am trying to sell one of my other projects, and even put one of my guns up for sale in hopes of getting the money together before its gone.
I've been looking for a pinto for AT LEAST 15 years now and EVERY time I find one, either I don't have the money or I'll have the money and something will happen that I have to use the money on instead. Car repairs, house repairs, medical bills, etc etc . EVERY time.

I feel your pain been there before, or how about driving 300 miles and about a 1/4mi away you get a phone call and they say "sorry car has just been sold". :(

Or worse yet, you get all the way there and they tell you they just sold the car! That's what happened to my son about three weeks ago. Bummer!

oh my god that would tick me off.
I've had it happen after a 2 hour drive when I was 15 minutes away and that totally pi##ed me off. 300 miles, oh my god

i drove 1500 miles one way to buy a car and turned out to be a hunk of junk >:( >:(

Or worse yet, you get all the way there and they tell you they just sold the car! That's what happened to my son about three weeks ago. Bummer!

Worst part is he wouldn't take any money down, told him I'd send whatever he wanted to hold it till I got there(three days)kept saying don't worry it'll be here for you I won't sell it, then I called him when I left and told him what time I'd be there, then waits till I'm 5 minutes away to tell me it's sold, POS!!!!!!, >:( >:( I could never do that to anyone..

I don't have enough restraint to deal with morons like that. I would have had to knock him out cold & spend a night in jail.

Well, it was a good thing the wife was with me and calmed me down some, because I probably would have went there anyhow.. >:(
