Title: I WANT TO MAKE MY PINTO FAST!!!!
Post by: mrmellowgold on April 01, 2014, 02:04:50 PM: I have a '73 Pinto wagon. Automatic. 2.0.
Been tweeking the valve lash and stuff, set timing correctly.
Anything else I can do to make it a little faster?
Should I just get a new engine?
What would or have you done!!??

Most have retarded cam timing to begin with and if the head has ever been resurfaced it's even worse. Give that automatic about 2* of cam timing and it will come alive. BTW, my 2.0 ran 13.40's with a 50 shot of nitrous soooo.........
