Title: I am back
Post by: STLpintoWGNguy76 on March 08, 2018, 07:47:22 PM
Hello everyone , it's been a long time since I have logged in.  First let me say that I sold my Pinto back in March 2012 to help pay for my fathers medical needs. At the time it was the last vehicle me and my dad worked on together before he passed in March 2014. In October 2017 I found the Pinto for sale again and I purchased it back. So I am starting major work on it. Just spent almost $800 for new front floor pans and another $250 for new tires. My next task is for new door weatherstrippi ng and a complete new exhaust. The Pinto has historic plates on it and hope to have it road worthy by this summer to start hitting some car shows.  I am in need a of a windshield !! Thanks ... can't wait to be in forum more on a regular basis.

Welcome back!  It sounds like your Pinto project is a real labor of love.  Best wishes with your goal of getting it back on the road by Summer!
Be sure and keep us updated!

There is a Pinto windshield for sale on Craigs if you go to Colorado Springs Craigs parts then type in Pinto. There is also a 74 Pinto wagon there for 500 bucks! But don't bother with the 76 Pinto rear axle with 3.00 gear since I already bought it. lol.

Thanks for the info on the windshield.  I just went out  and salvaged some parts off two early model pintos. Lots of interior parts, door panels / hardware , kick plates , dome light cover , glove box lid, horn buttons all for $50.00 ... good deal =)

Does anyone know if an early model pinto hatchback windshield will fit an 80 wagon? One of the pintos has a perfect windshield.

This guy also parting out a 1979 Mustang , I have heard that model bucket seats will also bolt right into a pinto. Any truth to that ?

Wouldn't know on Mustang Foxbody seats.  But I would imagine the windshield is a direct fit since there are no moving parts involved.
