How many people did this?

It has been seven years ago that I posted this. I looked at it today because a friend asked about it. I am amazed to see it has been read over 11,000 times. I would love to know who all did it to their car. Thank you for responding.

Great idea. Not sure what under the bumper (body wise/valances) looks like but I had always thought that 2"+  could be cut out of the bottom of the bumper making them thinner horizontally . But I was always concern what that would do to the chrome. This idea seems to negate that concern.  Is there Plasti-Coat in silver or chrome too?

I really don't know HOW I missed this. I will be doing that to my car once I get a Pinto again. Also, (honestly I didn't read all of it,) was this on a sedan/hb or a wagon? I want to get a wagon, so if this hasn't been done on a wagon yet, I'll do it and document it as best as I can.

The Pinto I had I gave to my brother. The car was originally my mom's, (78 red Pinto sedan with a 2.3 and a 4spd.) I am originally from Tucson, AZ but moved to Oxnard CA :D
I'm looking for a Pinto wagon with an automatic.

I don't know about the different types of plastidip. It appears that this method is only good on 77-78 but I am not sure. My 76 runabout has a different support structure. I got it after I posted the idea. I do not know if it works on wagons. 79 and 80 bumpers are a different style. I have no clue what they are like.

This is a great mod, but I know for sure it will NOT work on a 74 wagon.
The mounting brackets and holes are completely different.
I did talk about this in the original thread if pictures or more details are needed.
I do not know if other year wagons are like my 74 or not.
