How many of these sunroof screens have survived?
« on: July 12, 2012, 10:51:37 PM »
I wanted to ask about these screens before and forgot.  how many people on here have a surviving sun screen that is inserted where the sunroof goes?  and was this an option if you had a sunroof? or was it included.

So was this for the glass sunroof? Would this be for the pop out glass?
Sorry new to forum and Pintos.. Got to ask, was there a sunroof or moon roof option? Or both? And what is the difference? What is the hand crank one that goes back in the roof?
Thanks, Chris AZ

hi chris.

My car has/had the sunroof option, (from my best guess) this piece sits under the glass section to make it seem like you have a hard top roof and to shade out the sun.  I might guess that it could be placed into the hole after the glass is taken out for this piece goes in from the inside of the car's headliner.  the 2 black circles in the pic are 2 plugs that turn to lock into the female holes in the headliner/roof.

I can't comment on moonroof or hand crank for I don't have those, however I have read about the hand crank options in other threads from people who have them. I am sure someone will say something about them when they read this thread.  hope this helps.

cheers
