HOT PANTS ON A PINTO at Bonneville Salt Flats
« on: October 21, 2004, 05:33:12 PM »
Go to www.scta-bni.org  Then speed week 2004 pictures / then AUG 13 / Then page 2 / Go to the bottom of the page to see another Pinto at the salt flats. This one has a Hot Pants kit on it. Ran one day at 93 mph and retired for unknown reasons.

But will it run 93 mph at over 4000 feet and on salt? These cars are also heavy since they run full sheet metal  / complete glass / and a REAL roll cage that'l add 200 lbs to the car. Try it / You'l like it.

For any of you Pinto nuts that live on the east coast, you can go see the Bonneville type cars and bikes run on a one mile track at Maxton, North Carolina. The cars are over 200 mph and the bikes are at almost 250 mph. Go to www.ecta-Lsr.com for more information. Track is a 1.9 mile long runway. They run 6 times a year down there. They even have a class for street driven stockers includeing Pintos.
