Title: Holley 185 cfm Pony Ram carburators
Post by: johnbigman2011 on May 03, 2012, 11:11:01 PM
Has anyone on here ever had any dealings with the Holley R-6467 185 CFM carbs that were used on the Pony Ram intake from elderbrock in the 70's.

It seems that I can't find new or rebuilt ones anywhere. My 2.0 powered T bucket is going to be back on the road here in a couple of months and I'm sure these will be a show stopper in regards to it performing properly.

well the critical thing here is they are 185 cfm.  you could probably go with any pair of holly, autolite 1100s or carters yf's that you can make fit on the manifolds.  the only issue might be the need to get the thing run on a dyno to get it jetted. I suspect the original hollys where a bit on the lean side for the size of the motor vs the carbs.

Thanks for the reply 69. I'm really do like the looks of the twin carbs on the T for sure. I just want it to run good as well. I picked up a nice little motor from one of the members here on site so I'm hoping that it will run out alright. If not, I'll bolt on the the #6299 and with a  butterfly scoop for affects.
