boy do i wish that "Announce" thing still worked.
I am posting today after a very long absence from this forum for help locating my first car. It was a 1980 ford pinto with a c4 automatic transmission. Six years after the last time I saw her, she re-appeared on craigslist in Flagstaff Arizona, where I used to live. I recognize every dent ding, scrape, sanded paint and faded sticker. All I've been able to find out so far is that it was sold to someone in california and they came and picked it up. I am currently working in Colorado. I'm really hoping that someone bought it for the upcoming meet, maybe to sell or part out?
here is a picture from the craigslist add and what it look like today:
and heres what it looked like in 2005-7:

thank you for your help, I've contacted the new owner, the most i can hope for is first right of refusal if he ever decides to sell. But it sounds like he has a pretty good idea of what he wants to do with it. I guess I'm glad it didn't end up mangled in one of those stock car races or something. I'm happy she will still be on the road, in one form or another.

I am in Denver too. I would love to meet another member. I am the only one in Denver that I know of. Send me a p.m. perhaps we can meet.
