Title: Getting a Solid Battery Pan
Post by: From_Jonah on January 13, 2013, 05:49:14 PM
The Pinto I'm stripping the parts from this week just so happens to have a very solid battery pan in it. I'm going to see if I can get a local machine shop to reproduce some from this one. Would anyone be interested in one if I can?

I'm not sure a machine shop would be the best place to have that done. A sheet metal fabricating shop would be best for that. It would just need to be relatively close to the original and not an exact repro since the original was stamped steel from a die. The angles where they would fold the metal over just need to be correct to get it mounted correctly onto the fenderwell.

Okay. I'll do a little more looking into it.
