Flowmaster dBx series muffler
« on: February 01, 2012, 12:06:06 PM »
Hey all,

I just installed the Flowmaster dBx series muffler on my 1600 Pinto.
It has great sound and low interior noise.  Perfect for a 4 cylinder!

I have tried many style mufflers over the past 6 years and this is the first one I am satisfied with.
I highly recommend.     This summer I will plan to put one on my 5 cylinder Audi 5000S Quattro and wifey's 79 Pinto 2300.

I think maybe the best muffler I had on any of my Pintos was one Sears installed way back when they still were working on cars. Im pretty sure it was a Walker muffler, it may be  the one still on my 78 wagon. Its been so many years I forgot :)

What I like is the sound while having lower interior noise than other performance mufflers.
Here is how it sounds...   I will also put one on wifey's 79 this summer.

Well I can't hear the sound of it but I'm getting a pretty hot little motor for my 72 and sure don't want it sounding like a bee on steroids.
