So, I wanna go in a slightly different direction than most with my Pinto. I don't wanna do a V8 swap, I don't wanna do a turbo swap. Heck, I'm not even going to mess with the paint on this thing. What I do want is LOW. I picked up a set of N.O.S. E.T. Diamond Wire mags in 13x7 with very little backspacing so they have a large lip. I am going to get 205/60R13 tires for that meaty look.
My main problem is that I have a 73. It's not the belly button Mustang II style suspension that there are abundant parts for. I had heard that drop spindles will work with some reaming. How about the coil overs that are availible? Do they mount the same in either Pinto suspension configuration? The rear is easy, because I can do de-arched leafs, reversed eyes or even just simple blocks. But, I need help getting the front of this pig closer to the earth, a LOT closer.
I attached a pic of my last daily driver as reference.
