I know nothing about gas tanks. It seems odd that the fuel sloshes around in my bob. It is loud. Is there a fix?
-
I get a little sloshing too, but I only notice it when I park and quickly get out. When I am in the car, I do not hear it. It's probably because I have the radio up and the motor / exhaust is loud though.
Not sure if it's normal or not, nor do I know how to fix it. Only thing I can suggest is fill up the tank ;D lol
-
I always hear mine when I shut the engine off right after I stop. It's probably normal.
-
There are no baffles in the tank, nothing to control the sloshing. It would have to be normal. I've not noticed the sound in any of mine, but I've had to replace the fuel level sinding unit and can see the sloshing on the new gage on starts/stops and in turns...
-
That is normal due to no baffles. I have foam filled dragster tank so I do not hear that. Fred :)

Get a header and a Flowmaster 40 series muffler. Install a turndown right after the muffler. You'll never hear the fuel sloshing again! ;-)

My '80 hatchback did that all the time I had it, from 1991 to 2005. Never was a problem! Sorry I sold it, the guy that bought it lied and scrapped it.

I'd have to shoot that moron.....just my opinion ;D

After he told me his intentions later, he would not even let me buy it back. I am still steaming! Oh well, like a quote I read, "The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has it's limits."
